Description

He continues to learn the fine art of photography, especially in this fantastic digital age. This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features pink and purple flowers. Though Kurt does not manipulate his fine art photography, digital enhancement is a valuable tool in his business. Kurt's love of the earth feeds his photographic creativity and defines it as his truest form of therapy. This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features pink and purple flowers. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting. When photographing people, capturing the nature in his subjects is Kurt's intent and what he strives to do. Kurt Shaffer has been a self-taught photographer since age 13 (1970). Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. He states that if he were to change anything in his work it would be to make it look more like it was when he took the original photo. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums and private collectors. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
