The cover is constructed with a 12x14 scrim (threads per square inch) and weighs 4.5 ounces per square yard. A 2 inch marine-grade nylon binding boarders the entire cover providing enhanced protection from wear and tear. Titanium gommets as well as nylon water bag loops are placed every four feet around the perimeter of the cover. Next-Generation pool covers feature interlocking dual-layers of high-density premium polyethylene. The cover is constructed with a 12x14 scrim (threads per square inch) and weighs 4.5 ounces per square yard. While this cover is lighter and easier to handle than standard pool covers, it is also stronger.
