The stainless steel, rust-proof pin is knurled at the top to prevent rising, yet is "free-floating" within the barrel of the hinge. The pin can be easily removed by unthreading each finial and tapping the pin upwards. They conform to ANSI (American National Standards Institute) A2112 Specifications for performance, screw hole and cutout locations. Note: Doors equipped with closers should always have ball bearing hinges.
