About this product
Description
It was hand-crafted in Rhode Island using the age old art of foundry casting. You would have to sort through many a bushel to find a shell as pristine as your Scallop Doorbell Ringer. The Scallop Doorbell Ringer was hand polished and coated with a clear lacquer to protect its original polished finish. The Bay Scallop Shell Doorbell Ringer was designed by Michael Healy, an accomplished Rhode Island artisan. Michael grew up on Cape Cod and has happy memories of his youth spent scalloping on Cape Cod Bay. During the process it is heated to over 2000F then carefully poured into a hand made sand mold. It is signed in the mold by the artist, Michael Healy, confirming its authentic and quality craftsmanship. This mold is used only once, giving this Doorbell Ringer its individual character.
