The shoe has an elastic lace retainer mid-way down the shoe to keep things secure, tidy, and to ensure they don't get caught up in your chain rings. They allow you to better ‘tailor’ the fit for you. The upper of the shoe is more robust, protecting against contact with the terrain or bike. The traditional ‘oxford style’ opening with seven eyelets gives these shoes lots of flexibility to further help in finding the perfect fit; open or close them depending on your foot shape. The toe-box width has been increased to accommodate a slightly wider forefoot, or a thicker pair of socks for those cooler weather rides. The upper material is a soft microfibre and will form around the foot as it is not stiff or heavy. The perforated tongue also helps to increase airflow, and shapes over the top of the foot for added comfort when you close the laces.
