About this product
Description
To many, the trivet itself resembles a school of swimming fish. Made from mirror polished 18/10 stainless, each joint has a raised peg to safely keep heat from your table's surface. When not in use, the folded position will make storage easy; though you may just want to leave this conversation piece out. A trivet that grows as your spread does. Fourteen strategically shaped pieces compose the Alessi Pescher Extensible Trivet, fitting perfectly as a puzzle when closed and providing twice the surface area when expanded. Designers Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi were inspired by the lengthy fish platters, and fittingly named their creation "Pescher", a variation of the word fish in Italian.
